About UCV
The University of Cagayan Valley (UCV) is the first private, non-sectarian university in the Cagayan Valley Region. It is located in the heart of Tuguegarao City, the capital of Cagayan Province.
Founded in April 1948 by Dr. Matias Ponce Perez, Sr., UCV originally began as Cagayan Teachers College, later becoming Cagayan Colleges Tuguegarao before achieving university status in 2010 under the leadership of Dr. Victor V. Perez. Today, Dr. Esther Susan N. Perez-Mari, MSc-FM, MD, PhD, leads the university, guiding 17,604 students and 636 staff toward excellence in education, research, and community engagement.
