Research and Innovation Office
The Research and Innovation functions of the University are handled by the Research, Planning and Development, and Extension Office of the University of Cagayan Valley.
This office leads all research, innovation, and knowledge-building activities of the University. It ensures that research work supports the University’s mission and development goals.
Mandated Scope of Services
The Research and Innovation Office plans, coordinates, and monitors all research activities across the University. It ensures that research work follows the University’s goals, policies, and research agenda.
- Research Agenda and Policy Development
The office develops and updates research policies and guidelines. These align with local, national, and global development goals.
- Innovation and Knowledge Development
The office supports research that creates new ideas, solutions, and technologies. It focuses on studies that respond to community and industry needs.
- Publication and Research Dissemination
The office supports publication and sharing of research results. This includes journals, conferences, policy briefs, and community reports.
- Partnerships and Linkages
The office builds partnerships with government agencies, schools, industries, and organizations. These partnerships support funding, collaboration, and joint research projects.
- Research Program Management
The office reviews and monitors research proposals and ongoing studies. This includes work from faculty, staff, and students.

- Research Capability Building
The office conducts training sessions, workshops, and mentoring activities. These help improve research skills among faculty and students.
- Research Ethics and Quality Assurance
The office ensures that all research follows ethical rules and quality standards. It also supports compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.

Cagayan Valley Regional Priorities
This includes research on agriculture, fisheries, disaster preparedness, local governance, education, cultural preservation, and community development in Cagayan Province within the region.
These priorities are applied across different colleges such as education, health sciences, business, criminal justice, engineering, hospitality, and community development.
